Southern Alamance students raise animals for adoption Greensboro News & Record Dawson, an agriculture teacher at Southern, founded the program in 2013 so she could share her passion for animals with her students, beginning with Animal Science I, the study of the livestock industry, and expanding to include smaller animals in 2014.
