Record homeless animals reported at ARL, here's how to help KCCI Des Moines Officials said they are now caring for close to 1,500 animals and that number continues to grow. "We are doing everything we can to keep up with that number of animals and are getting them into homes as fast as we can, but we really need the public's help.
